Automatic Lung Health Screening Using Respiratory Sounds

چکیده
Significant changes have been made on audio-based technologies over years in several different fields. Healthcare is no exception. One of such avenues health screening based respiratory sounds. In this paper, we developed a tool to detect sounds that come from infection carrying patients. Linear Predictive Cepstral Coefficient (LPCC)-based features were used characterize audio clips. With Multilayer Perceptron (MLP)-based classifier, our experiment, achieved the highest possible accuracy 99.22% was tested publicly available dataset (ICBHI17) (Rocha et al. Physiol. Meas. 40(3):035,001 20) size 6800+ addition other popular machine learning classifiers, results outperformed common works exist literature.

Respiratory health screening using pulmonary function tests and lung sound analysis.
Lung sounds (LS) analysis is a potential source of additional objective, noninvasive and quantitative information on the status of the pulmonary system. We have examined the hypothesis that the addition of lung sounds analysis to spirometry increases the sensitivity of objective population screening, as compared to the use of spirometry alone. Questionnaires, spirometry and lung sounds were obt...
متن کاملA new scheme for automatic classification of pathologic lung sounds
In this paper, a classification scheme has been proposed to classify crackles based on waveform features and frequency domain features. This purpose is very important in the analysis of respiratory disorders. In fact, morphological characters of crackles can be well represented by time amplitude distribution. Thus, they convey significant diagnostic information, for their precise timing in the ...
متن کاملMethod for automatic detection of wheezing in lung sounds.
The present report describes the development of a technique for automatic wheezing recognition in digitally recorded lung sounds. This method is based on the extraction and processing of spectral information from the respiratory cycle and the use of these data for user feedback and automatic recognition. The respiratory cycle is first pre-processed, in order to normalize its spectral informatio...
متن کاملDetection of Adventitious Respiratory Sounds Using Empirical Mode Decomposition
Respiratory sound analysis using stethoscope continues to be the mostly used method for the diagnosis of respiratory diseases. This technique depends on detection of symptomatic adventitious sounds present with normal vesicular sounds. However, some factors such as dependence on the practitioner doctor’s experience, frequency distortion of the stethoscope and frequency response of the human ear...
